Look at the pedal footboard; it’s worn smooth with all the use and abuse! Can you say that about your pedal? By the way, the Axis hi-hat stand sure makes that hardware bag a lot lighter. Axis rocks!” Scott’s work can be heard on: myspace.com/scottmetko, myspace.com/davidball, www.adamfears.com. |

Jersey native Vinnie LaRocca always knew what Exit he was from; unfortunately, nobody across state lines knew what that meant. So, he decided to make a name for himself….
Vinnie sat behind his father’s kit, and quickly became a second generation drummer. He worked his craft and when he discovered Axis pedals, he discovered the smooth feel that would forever transform his playing style. Growing up in the shadow of Manhattan has eclipsed many artists, but Vinnie continues to thrive in the shadows and is now the drummer for New York City’s premiere Hi-Fi Sci-Fi Hard Rock Band, Atom Strange. Vinnie longs to push down the pedals on a John Deere mower, but until then, he continues to throttle his Axis pedals. |

Born into a small town in Southwest Oklahoma, it seemed from the beginning Tate Cunningham was meant to play music. Studying classical piano from the age of five to fifteen, Tate was laying the ground work for a musical career, ultimately landing him on the drums.
In 1998 Tate graduated from high school and landed a full scholarship to Oral Roberts University in Tulsa Oklahoma, majoring in music. There he solely studied percussion and split time between Orchestra, Concert, and Pep bands. In 2001 he met SafetySuit singer Doug Brown, Jeremy Henshaw Bass, and became friends. “We all played in different bands at the time, but Doug had some songs and wanted to play in the battle of the bands last minute. He had some cool songs so I agreed. It was more for fun, or a joke really, but we won! Ive been with them ever since.” The three later added guitarist Dave Garofalo and the rest is history. In 2004 they decided to “go for it” and moved to Nashville where they landed a major deal with Universal Records in 2007. In May of 2008, SafetySuit released their debut album “Life Left To Go.” Their first single “Someone Like You” landed them a top 15 record on Alternative and top 20 on Hot A/C. SafetySuit has been featured on MTV’s “The Hills” on numerous episodes, Kyle XY and was on Vh1’s Top 20 Countdown for 5 weeks, ultimately landing the #1 video.

Mike Smith has been drumming for 25 years and is a founding member of New York Death metal pioneers “Suffocation.” Mikes drumming was first introduced to the Extreme metal scene in 1989 on Suffocation’s debut album “Effigy of the forgotten.” On this album he introduced a drumming technique now known throughout the metal community as the “Blast Beat” or “Smith Blast.” This technique is a main ingredient used in the drumming styles amongst the majority of Extreme metal bands today. His ability to push the boundaries of speed, while combining precision, groove and technicality has influenced a sub genre known today as Technical Death metal. What Mike Smith and his band Suffocation introduced to the scene was the first of its kind and continues to influence the path of many Extreme metal bands across the world today. You can currently catch Mike Smith on tour throughout the U.S. and Europe.
